For the Toy Photographer Collective challenge theme of “re-creation,” I re-created an alternate cover from Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo: Bunraku, part 1 of 3.

As you all know, I do everything in my phone and with free or low-cost apps. So an easy way to remove Miyamoto Usagi’s ears where they overlaid his name in the hero banner was going to be too difficult and time consuming. Hence the change to blue which was from another alt cover that I could steal easily and cleanly.

As for Miyamoto Usagi, I swapped out his swords with one from Marvel Legends Gwenpool since both the blade and hilt are longer and would look more like the sword from the source image. I actually kinda like her swords on him better than his own. Hmmm…

I kept everything else from the original shot.

Thanks to @leagueofextraordinarysixthers for her wise counsel on this challenge.
